Hello! First, I think your art style is adorable. Second, I’m a freshman animation major and I’m very interested in doing the whole “It’s 3D animation but looks 2D” thing, kind of like your Witch’s Brew short film (which is awesome, by the way). I was just wondering if you could maybe go over your process for making it that style, if that makes sense?
Hi! I’m so glad you liked the look of “Witch’s Brew”! I will quickly review my production process. I used Maya Autodesk for all 3D parts! (Modeling/Rigging/Animation/Shading) I used V-Ray as a render engine and used Surface Shader as a base for all my textures. I painted the textures on Substance Painter and then applied them on my Surface Shader! My lighting was done during the Compositing part (using Nuke!) I hope it helps! ~
